Nicole Fisher

Nicole is the founder of Drama-Free Divorce and an attorney who has devoted over 16 years exclusively to family law. She built the firm on a simple belief that divorce doesn’t have to be chaotic, combative, or the end of someone’s story.

Nicole works to guide clients through major life transitions with realistic expectations, clear solutions, and a grounded, steady presence. Her approach focuses on transparency and helping clients understand both the best- and worst-case scenarios so they can move forward with confidence.

Before opening Drama-Free Divorce, Nicole worked at other Kansas City Metro family law firms, recognizing her calling to help people navigate the most pivotal moments of their lives. Now, Drama-Free Divorce allows her to help couples who are on the same page and ready to part amicably and with confidence.

Nicole reminds them that divorce isn’t how their book ends. It’s just the first step into the next chapter.

Emily Null

Emily joined Drama-Free Divorce in early 2024. She has been practicing law for over a decade, beginning her career as a Guardian ad Litem in Jackson County, working with abused and neglected children and fighting for their best interests. She then worked for a national firm, representing clients in dissolutions, paternity actions and other family law matters before starting her own firm. Emily is licensed in Missouri and Kansas.

Emily has resided in Missouri and Kansas her whole life, growing up in rural Missouri and moving to Kansas during law school. She attended Truman State University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (minoring in Political Science), then the University of Missouri—Kansas City School of Law for her JD.

In her spare time (which is little due to having two children who are involved in all the activities they possibly could be in), Emily enjoys reading, volunteering (at her children’s schools and on the Friends of the Johnson County Library board), attending festivals around the KC area and baking delicious treats for her side baking business.

Marie Sosa

Marie is a legal assistant who joined Drama-Free Divorce in 2023. She continues to expand her knowledge in the legal process while providing administrative support for her fellow co-workers and clients. Having personally experienced the process of divorce, she understands the importance of providing a professional and kind representation.

A Texas native, she enjoys exploring all the local eateries and shops that Kansas City has to offer, and is slowly but surely becoming a Chiefs and Royals fan. She also enjoys time spent with her family and friends.
